Photo description
This is a relatively scarce raptor which is an uncommon and local resident in grasslands, wet pastures, and marshy areas. We were lucky to get a close fly-by of this one in the 'melon patch' in Trinidad. This is a marshy wetland area where watermelon are grown This appears to be a light-phase male with white forehead and eyestripe and white underparts sparsely dotted black. f/7.1, iso 1600, exp comp plus 2.0, 1/2000.
