From the savannah area of the Karanambu Ranch, Guyana. Common in Guyana. Feeds on carrion and road kills, insects (especially ticks), nestlings, small reptiles and mammals, and fruit. Perches on the backs of cattle to pick ticks. There was a cattle herd in the area.
