Red/orange coloring is abit of a mystery to me.
A few years ago we noticed a definite color difference in Vermillion Flycatchers- those in Patagonia, AZ were very red, those in the San Pedro River area a definite orange.
It could not have been an issue of timing since the views were just two days apart.
