Photo description
Female. This little bird has white thighs. The female does not show as pronounced a forked tail as the male and has white tips on the tail. It is curious and bold, very aggressive to intruders in feeding territory. Perches exposed on tip of bare twig. Uncommon in Ecuador, common in Venezuela, abundant in Suriname and French Guiana, fairly common in Guyana and Colombia. f6.3, iso 1600, exp comp plus two-thirds, 1/400.
