Common in remote, undisturbed forests. Scavenges for forest animals using keen sense of smell and by flying low over canopy. Joins other vultures at carcasses only rarely and only inside wooded areas. From the wooden canopy tower, Sacha Lodge, Ecuador. Another example of where the iso is too high for the shutter speed. I had probably been shooting into the canopy and had time to adjust the exposure compensation when this flew over but not the iso. Probably could have been taken at at least iso 400 or better. f/6.3, iso 1600, exp comp plus 2.0, 1/4000.
