Smooth-billed Ani (Crotophaga ani)
Smooth-billed Ani (Crotophaga ani)
Photo description
This one looks like it needs a new tail feather moult! These birds vocalise continually, keeping in contact as they move about on the ground amongst thick grasses. Their feathers easily become wet as they forage in the grass, and they are often seen on exposed branches, sunning themselves and absorbing the sun's warmth. f/6.3, iso 1600, exp comp plus one and one-third, 1/500.
