Clay-colored Sparrow (Spizella pallida) flanked by Chipping Sparrows (Spizella passerina). Note the dark eye-stripe in the Chipper with light malar stripe and the opposite pattern in the clay-colored. Also note that in the chipper the eyestripe continues in front of the eye. Clay-colored also has a stronger outline to the ear coverts
