This beautiful Cassin's Finch (Carpodacus cassinii) was photographed by Bill Schmoker in Colorado. Check out Bill's website at cobrrdrr Camera used was a Nikon digital slr D100 with an 80-400mm zoom. It is a VR (Vibration Reduction) lens which contains 2 gyroscopes to help stabilize the system. He has gotten some excellent flight shots with this setup as well as great photos such as this of little, active, fairly close-in birds (doesn't have quite the 'reach' of a typical 'digiscoping' setup).
