This comparison shows some of the morphologic differences such as the uneven tail bands on the Northern Goshawk (left) but not the size differences. Northern Goshawk 21 inches, Sharp-shinned Hawk (center) 11 inches and Cooper's Hawk 16 inches. There are also male/female differences in size and a female sharpie can be close in size to a male cooper's.
