Once they get a little older the Marsh Wren has unbarred wing coverts,
disconnected buff breast patches, solid dark crown without white streaking,
and relatively long bill.
Sedge Wren has barred wing coverts, buff chest band connecting across,
paler crown with conspicuous white streaks and shorter bill.
A Sedge Wren is
buffier, lacking that rich brown colour of the Marsh Wren, and has more intricate patterning.
