This photo is heavily cropped with a branch in front of it but I thought it showed some good field marks of this tricky species with the rounded head, dark lores, bright yellow throat brightest in the center and contrasting dark crown. This bird breeds in Canada (and Maine and New Hampshire) and winters from southern Mexico into Panama and rarely N Colombia. Photo was taken at Savegre Mtn lodge in Costa Rica 2/7/05.
