The "Yigüirro" (Turdus grayi) was designated National Bird of Costa
Rica on November, 1976. It brings good luck by starting to sing at
the start of the rainy season and represents the fertility of the
earth. It is a friendly and peaceful bird and not afraid of humans,
however, it protects its brood. From the rain-cloud forest located in
Cinchona, Costa Rica's central mountain range near the San Fernando
waterfall. iso 400, f/6.3, 1/160sec, exp comp minus two-thirds.
I've already seen this photo I think.. Though a pretty non-descript bird it is a very worthy photo - I like the composition and presentation. Nice shot!
