Photo description
kerkos, the tail, makros, long, tyrannina, like a tyrant flycatcher. Prefers tall, impenetrable thickets. Captures beetles, wasps, caterpillars, and spiders after a quick dash or brief hover. Does not associate with other birds. Photographed at Carara Biological Reserve on the Pacific coast, Costa Rica. iso 1600, 1/60, f/8.0, exp comp minus 1.0.
